Getting Involved

So during the summer an email was sent out to Longwood students about applying for SGA Senator positions. So...being "Miss Involved with everything" I, naturally applied to be a senator(: ...well, I was excepted and so here's my cool new shirts!

I know...it's been a while! But i've been so so so busy! Well...here is one thing I learned how to do while i've been at college!....how to french braid my hair!(: I taught myself! so here's a picture!

Being at college has shown me a lot of things. I've made some amazing friends! (North Ham 2nd floor!) :) and i've just been having a blast! Being here has shown me that sometimes we have to let go of things, break ties, and move on with life.

I really like all of my classes...well....i just "like" my History of Rock and Roll class and my Math class <<<it's a really pointless class...so yeah. the end

Lancer Lunatics!

So, I'm about to start day 4 of college life! I've made some great friends and everything is starting to slowly settle down. Last night they had a tailgate party out in front of the Fitness Center with free food, games, prizes, and a bunch of other stuff. While I was there I signed up for the Lancer Lunatics and got one of those discount cards you can take to a bunch of different businesses! Here are the shirts for being a lunatic!

After that I met up with my friends Morgan and Ashley and just walked around campus for a bit(:

So today one of my best friends left for college....she's going to the University of South Carolina. I've known her for 13 years of my life. Although lately we haven't been as close as we once was...it still is shocking when your friends move away. In 6 days I will be moving an hour and a half away...no big deal...but another...who i've known for my whole life...my best friend who has always only been 3 streets apart isnt going to be around the corner anymore...she'll be in Winchester, VA....i'll be in Farmville, VA...thats a while away=/ Another one of my best friends will be in Elon, North Carolina...it's already been decided that Farmville is the meeting point, but these friends won't be at the max 20 minutes away...they'll be at the very minimum...2 hours away...i'll truly miss my friends. I have no idea what i will do without them. However, i'm very lucky that 2 of my best friends will be attending Longwood with me, but it's still not the same. I depend on my friends for EVERYTHING. I call them when i'm scared at home, need someone to talk to, have to tell a lame joke or funny license plate, or just to say i'm coming over. We all have to grow up and move away, but that should never mean our friendships need to grow up and move away too. I'll always have a bond with my friends that will never be broken(:

Sneak Peek!

So today we moved in my sister, Mallory! She's also going to Longwood, but because she is an RA, she has to move in a lot earlier than freshmen and the other students. What's really great is that we are in the same building (but DIFFERENT parts!) ....soooo.....when we moved her in, i snuck upstairs and found my room! It's a bit small, but there are smaller! I'm excited about hardwood floors! I loooooove them(: Here is what room 280 looks like pre-moving in!

I'm sure it will be setup differently once Tara (my roomie) and I move in!

Now that I'm back home from moving in my sister, I have to finish up on my packing! I know, I know....i'm probably packing way too early...but! this weekend i'm going out of town, and the last couple of days i'm home, i just want to relax since I haven't all summer because of work! So here is what some of my packed up stuff looks like!

 When I saw this poser at Longwood I got really excited, but wasn't sure if my roommate would like it or not. We met up a weekish later and found out she likes The Beatles too! I just loooove them!

Mallory couldn't go to school and not forget something(: I guess Mr. Printer will be traveling to Farmville with me next Thursday!(: 

And last but not least, my comforter! I'm doing my room teal and pink so I'm really excited about this comforter I bought last summer!(:



Getting ready!

So in exactly 10 days from today I will be moving onto the 2nd floor of North Cunningham! I'm so excited! Of course when I go to school I will miss everyone, so here's what I have to remember them!

My best friend, Sarah Mawyer, made this collage of us! We've been best friends since we were born and have always been a few streets over from each other. Being a couple hours away is going to be hard! I won't get to see my best friend as often as I'm used to anymore! :(

So i've had a blog for a while, but i've always been off and on keeping up with it. Now that i'm going off to Longwood in 19 days (YAY!) i figured creating a new blog would be a good way for people to know that I'm still alive and what's going on! Pictures of my dorm room will be up and probably of everything else I'm going to be doing at Longwood because of the sweet new camera i got for graduation(thanks mom and dad!) =) So stay posted, nothing will probably be going on while I'm still at home, but here is a sneak preview of what some of my dorm stuff will look like!
